Protected Bike Lanes

A protected bike lane is not your typical bike lane.  It is separated from motorized traffic by curbs, planters, posts, parked cars, or elevation (like a sidewalk for bikes).  Other names for protected bike lanes are cycle tracks and separated bikeways.
